Bushmen XL HARDY Fire starter

The XL Hardy Flirestarter – large, comfortable, and durable, is summed up in a few words. It generates significantly more sparks than most competing products, thanks to its ferrocerium alloy with an increased magnesium content and an above-average diameter (10mm). Its relatively wide and long sparking surface superbly facilitates effective fire-starting even in bad weather conditions. The upper part of the flint has a hole through which the survival cord passes. This cord combines the flint and striker into a cohesive tool, also serving as a handy handle.
The 10cm length of the flint not only extends its lifespan (approximately 15,000 sparks) but also enhances user convenience.
The unexceptional size and ascetic yet practical design of this flint has earned it the name XL HARDY.

A long (10cm) handy striker is crafted from black, thick 2mm steel with a curved profile.
This design yields four sharp and smooth edges, each spanning 3,5cm. The serrated end greatly facilitates tinder preparation.
At the top, there’s a hole aligned with the flint. Once threaded through the Survival cord, both parts seamlessly align, saving space and significantly protecting other items from accidental scratches.
The 10cm striker, equipped with a comfortable over 6cm grip, allows easy usage of the flint, even with thick gloves.

The flint’s core and striker are bound by around 50cm of survival cord. This is a type of paracord with embedded tinder, thread, and wire in its core. In extreme situations, this could be invaluable.
