Description
Garmin Foretrex 901 Ballistic Edition Wrist-Mounted GPS Navigator
Garmin Foretrex 901 Ballistic Edition is a purpose-built wrist-mounted GPS navigator designed for professional navigation and long-range ballistic calculations. Featuring an easy-to-read monochromatic display, multi-band GNSS positioning and integrated Applied Ballistics® software, it delivers reliable navigation and precision shooting support in demanding environments.
Integrated Applied Ballistics Solver
The Foretrex 901 includes onboard Applied Ballistics software, allowing precise long-range shot calculations directly on the device. Ballistic profiles can be managed wirelessly using a compatible smartphone through the AB Synapse™ – Garmin app, making updates and adjustments fast and secure.
Advanced Tactical Features
Designed for tactical and professional use, the device includes stealth mode to disable wireless connectivity and GPS data storage. In critical situations, the dedicated kill switch instantly wipes device memory. Jumpmaster mode supports high-altitude release calculations according to military guidelines.
Rugged and Mission-Ready
The Foretrex 901 is tested to MIL-STD-810 standards and rated IPX7 for water resistance. It is built to withstand sand, dust, vibration, shock, extreme temperatures, altitude and humidity, making it suitable for harsh operational conditions.
Long Battery Life with Field-Replaceable Power
Powered by two standard AAA batteries (not included), the device delivers up to 100 hours in navigation mode and up to 1000 hours in expedition mode. Field-replaceable batteries ensure extended operation without reliance on charging infrastructure.
Navigation Sensors and Connectivity
Multi-band GNSS support (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo) provides improved position accuracy. Integrated sensors include a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis tilt-compensated compass and barometric altimeter. When paired with a compatible smartphone, the device supports smart notifications and integration with the Garmin Explore™ ecosystem.
