In the cultural and productive tradition of the Sicily region there are numerous and different models of knives with names and variations based on the areas, shapes, construction techniques and materials used.
The Sicilian "Sfilato" is a knife that was used indifferently to carry out the most diverse jobs in the field of artisanal, agricultural and/or pastoral work: it has a very simple shape with a thin and very pointed blade to help its penetration into the different drilling and cutting work.
The handle is straight and thin to facilitate its portability in pockets.
