Bushmen HOT Tarp™ Cotton Natural 4×3 m

The Bushmen HOT Tarp™ Cotton Natural 4×3 m is a large technical cotton tarp designed for bushcraft, camping and stove-compatible shelter setups. It combines a natural old-school look with modern functionality, offering a unique chimney outlet, strong weather resistance and improved resistance to sparks compared to standard synthetic tarps.

With a shelter area of approximately 12 m², this tarp is ideal for creating a spacious covered area in front of a tent, vehicle or camp kitchen. It is equally suitable for traditional bushcraft users who want a breathable shelter with the option to use a portable stove in colder conditions.

Chimney Outlet

The HOT Tarp is designed for use with portable stoves. The chimney pass-through is made from a fire-resistant material rated for temperatures up to 800°C. A star-shaped opening helps stabilize the chimney while also improving protection against rain.

The outlet fits most commercially available stove chimneys with a diameter of approximately 4 to 8 cm. An additional loop below the outlet and the included stabilizing cord provide further support.

Important: The chimney outlet material may deform slightly under high temperature. This is a natural effect and does not affect normal safe use.

Material & Performance

The tarp is made from technical cotton (BreDre polycotton 220 g/m²). Compared with standard synthetic tarp materials, technical cotton offers several practical advantages:

• Higher resistance to sparks and brief heat exposure
• Better breathability and lower condensation
• Comfortable interior climate
• Improved natural sealing when fibers swell under moisture

Warning: Although technical cotton is more resistant to sparks than synthetic fabrics, it is not flame-resistant. Contact with hot stove parts or open flame may damage the tarp. Always keep a safe distance between stove and fabric.
