The SJ-250 Japanese Waterstone is ideal for sharpening hand tools such as woodcarving tools, knives, scissors, plane irons, and chisels. If your tool requires a new edge, first use a coarser grinding wheel and then use the SJ-250 Japanese Waterstone to give it a perfect final polish.

This unique stone composition ensures an extremely long service life, and often, you won't need to use a leather honing wheel afterwards as the fine finish is sufficient. The grindstone’s low maintenance and durable design make it ideal for extended use.

Low Maintenance, Long Service Life

Clean the surface of the grindstone regularly to remove fine steel particles, using the fine side of the SP-650 Stone Grader or a coarse sponge. Avoid using the coarse side of the stone grader on the SJ-250, as it can damage the grinding surface.

The SJ-250 Japanese Waterstone fits the Tormek T-8, Tormek T-7, and earlier models with a 250 mm (9 7/8") diameter and 50 mm (2") wide grinding wheel. For the compact Tormek T-4, a smaller version, the SJ-200, is available.
