Restore your Light My Fire FireKnife to full spark-throwing power with this genuine Swedish FireSteel® 2.0 replacement rod. Designed for the FireKnife 12123600 (orange handle) but also perfect as a compact emergency striker on its own, this magnesium-alloy rod delivers a shower of 2 980 °C / 5 400 °F sparks to ignite stoves, grills or camp-fires in any weather.

Specification

Installation & Use

1. Unscrew the empty FireSteel from your FireKnife handle.
2. Insert the new rod and twist until firmly seated.
3. To ignite: drag the back of your knife blade (or a scraper) slowly down the rod towards fuel.

Tip: Shave a few magnesium curls onto dry tinder, then shower with sparks for instant ignition.

• Any striker/steel combo or survival kit that accepts a 6 cm FireSteel rod.
