The FKMD Official Issue Italian Fire Brigade Axe is a professional-grade rescue tool officially designed for and used by Italian firefighters. Crafted from C70 carbon steel and heat-treated to a hardness of HRC 50–52, the blade is capable of penetrating and cutting through wood, plastic, or metal — ideal for forcible entry, debris removal, and rescue extractions. One side of the axe features a sharp cutting edge for slicing softer materials, while the other end includes a pointed or hammer-like section optimized for penetration and prying tasks.

The ash wood handle, coated with black varnish, is ergonomically designed to provide a secure, non-slip grip, even in wet conditions or when used with gloves. This ensures safe, precise handling during critical operations. A leather sheath is included for safe transport and protection of the cutting edge.
