Tasmanian Tiger TT 2 SGL Mag Pouch BEL MKIII G36 Magazine Pouch

The Tasmanian Tiger TT 2 SGL Mag Pouch BEL MKIII is a robust double magazine pouch designed to carry two G36-type rifle magazines side by side, secured with an elastic bungee cord. The pouch combines dimensionally stable construction, plastic funnel-shaped side inserts for easier loading, and a fast, ergonomic pull tab for rapid magazine access. Made from hard-wearing CORDURA® 700 den, it is built for intensive professional use in demanding environments.

Aim of the Product

This pouch is designed to provide secure, low-profile and quick-access storage for modern 5.56 rifle magazines. It helps the user keep primary magazines close to hand, reduces reload times and keeps equipment organized on plate carriers, chest rigs or modular platforms. The three-layer construction and bungee retention protect magazines from loss and damage without sacrificing speed.

Audience

The TT 2 SGL Mag Pouch BEL MKIII is intended for:

  • Military personnel and law enforcement officers using G36, AR15 or similar rifles.
  • Private security contractors and response teams who require reliable magazine management.
  • Sport shooters, IPSC rifle competitors and training centers that use MOLLE-based load-bearing systems.
  • Airsoft and training users who want professional-grade magazine pouches for realistic setups.

Product Use

The pouch is mounted via the MOLLE reverse system to compatible platforms such as plate carriers, chest rigs, tactical vests, modular backpacks or leg platforms. It requires four MOLLE columns for secure attachment. Magazines are inserted from the top; the funnel-shaped plastic side reinforcements guide the mags into the pouch and help keep the shape even when empty. The elastic cord with 3D polymer mag pull tabs is adjusted for tension and flipped over the magazine bodies to secure them.

During reloads, the user simply pulls the mag pull tab to clear the top of the magazine and draws the mag out in one motion. Correct adjustment of the bungee length is important: it should be tight enough for retention but not so tight that it slows access.

Care and Maintenance

  • Brush off loose dirt and dust with a soft brush after use.
  • For heavier soiling, rinse with lukewarm water and use a mild detergent if necessary.
  • Do not use bleach, aggressive solvents or fabric softeners, as they may damage the CORDURA® fibers and webbing.
  • Allow the pouch to air dry fully in a shaded, well-ventilated area; do not tumble dry and do not expose to direct heat sources such as radiators or open flames.
  • Store dry and away from prolonged direct sunlight or sharp objects that could damage the fabric.
  • Periodically inspect stitching, MOLLE straps and bungee cords and replace the pouch if critical damage or excessive wear is observed.

Regulations and Standards

The standard TT 2 SGL Mag Pouch BEL MKIII is a textile magazine pouch and is not a ballistic or protective item, so it is generally not certified as PPE. Some IRR (infrared-reduced) variants of Tasmanian Tiger pouches are manufactured according to Bundeswehr technical delivery conditions (for example TL 8305-0278 / TL 8305-0281) for camouflage in the infrared range. Always check the specific product variant description if IRR compliance or particular military standards are required.

Other Useful Information

Tasmanian Tiger is known for professional-grade tactical equipment designed for military, police and security forces. The BEL MKIII revision of this pouch optimizes handling through improved funnel-shaped side reinforcements and ergonomically shaped 3D polymer pull tabs. The three-layer construction keeps the pouch dimensionally stable, making magazine insertion more intuitive, especially under stress or in low-visibility conditions.

The modular front with laser-cut MOLLE allows stacking of smaller pouches or accessories, enabling users to tailor their loadout to mission requirements while keeping the overall profile compact.
