The first Arkansas whetstones delivered excellent results in numerous preliminary tests and offer everyone who prefers sharpening on a whetstone the familiar grinding sensation. As with the oil stones, natural Novaculit is the decisive component. However, as is usual with whetstones, it is enclosed on a matrix. This structure ensures high effectiveness as well as a very long life span compared to Japanese whetstones. The stones are generously dimensioned at 20.3 x 7.6 x 2.5 cm and come with an anti-slip silicon pedestal. The available dressing stick ensures an optimal grinding surface for its entire life span. The combination of the usual grains (1000/6000) provides twice the performance in one stone.
