9Cr13MoV - shortened name (9Cr13). Martensitic tool stainless steel. A high content of 13.5% chromium (Cr) and 0.85% carbon (C) provide high corrosion resistance, while the addition of the alloying elements manganese 1.0% (Mn), silicon 1.0% (Si) and cobalt 1.0% (Co) increase the strength and hardness of the steel. The hardness of 3Cr13 can range from 60-62 HRC, depending on the manufacturer. Easy to sharpen, widely used in the manufacture of knives, scissors and medical equipment.
